Google/Yahoo re-directions?

Everytime i search for ANYTHING on google/yahoo, i get redirected to a website that has nothing to do with what i searched for, and i look at the url and it says something like floridatraffic or directsomething.

Am i the only one having these problems and any help?Google/Yahoo re-directions?
Sounds like you might be infected with the same virus I was. These "rootkit" viruses are very good at hiding themselves from antivirus software. But there are some tools out there that look specifically for these things and remove them.

The 1st one to try is TDSSKiller.exe:

If that doesn't do the job you can try Combofix (I used this to fix my redirect problem):

Oh, and to reduce the chances of a virus like this installing itself again in future, you should update Java (I heard it installs itself by taking advantage of a vulnerability in a previous version of Java). To do this open Control Panel and (in classic view) open the Java Control Panel. On the Update tab click the "Update Now" button. Enabling automatic updates for Java is also a good idea.Google/Yahoo re-directions?
You have the "Google Redirect Virus", which basically infects your PC and then changes the settings on your browser to redirect to random websites. This virus is a big problem for millions of computers and is also quite difficult to remove. The problem is that because it just changes a few settings on your system, this virus is continually able to evade the traditional antivirus programs, making it difficult to remove the various files that it has. Fortunately, you can remove this infection quite easily by using this tutorial: http://www.personalcomputerfixes.com/spy鈥?/a>
