Where can I find driving directions from San Francisco, California to Buenos Aires, Argentina?

A friend of mine is going to Argentina, and although he has already decided to fly, I thought it would be interesting to see how to get there by car. I tried both Yahoo! and Google Maps, but neither of those sites could give me directions (in fact they did not even give directions to Mexico City. Mapquest did not give an option be to put in another country.

Does anyone know of an international map website that could give directions, or does anyone know someone who has driven from North America to South America?Where can I find driving directions from San Francisco, California to Buenos Aires, Argentina?
You're going to have a problem driving it because of the Darien Gap, which is a missing segment of the Pan-American highway about 100 miles long.
I think San Francisco and Buenos Aires are too far from each other than even Google and Yahoo! don't have driving directions. I suggest that it is better to there by plane.

I even checked MapQuest but the "Buenos Aires" it suggests is in Arizona, Puerto Rico and Texas.Where can I find driving directions from San Francisco, California to Buenos Aires, Argentina?

hope that helpsWhere can I find driving directions from San Francisco, California to Buenos Aires, Argentina?
You cannot drive from San Francisco to Argentina because they are both of different continents. As in matter of fact Argentina is so far that it's in South America for one, but it's in the southern hemisphere.

Just type where u want to go on mapquest.

Here is the website u have to go to: mapquest.com
You could try Yahoo! Maps and just follow the major highways without getting directions per se. Oh, yeah, I just remembered- I don't think there is a road between Colombia and Panama- I remember a guy was talking about how he was on this expedition to drive from Tierra del Fuego to Point Barrow, Alaska and they had to hack a path for their Jeeps through the jungle, but that was the late 70's (it was on PBS at the time) Maybe one is there now. If not , a ferry might take you along the coast (not through the jungle, which is nice). It's probably a very dangerous trip, though.
