Does google maps give directions based on road conditions? Would it redirect based on flooding in the area?

I know it sounds silly to ask this on a yahoo forum, but there are smart people everywhere :)Does google maps give directions based on road conditions? Would it redirect based on flooding in the area?
No, it does not know about road conditions.Does google maps give directions based on road conditions? Would it redirect based on flooding in the area?
It would be nice but I haven't seen any signs of it this weekend. If you are using a Sat Nav system that has traffic updates enabled, it might get you around the flood zone. If you don't have to travel then stay home until the river's subside and the washouts are repaired. Should be done by the end of the month if the hurricanes will pack it in or head through Texas.Does google maps give directions based on road conditions? Even if Google Maps tries to map out road conditions, it's up to you to figure out what may be open or closed and your possible detours. Check the DoT websites of the states you're traveling in.
