I followed google maps instructions going from 1-45N to I-610W, I arrived at Ella Blvd but I didn't found Fry's near by.Can anyone give me some directions in order to get the nearest Fry's electronics in Houston?
The Fry's Electronics you looked for is closer to the Tollway than 610. That is why you didn't see it. That one is too far from downtown. Go to the Fry's on the Southwest Freeway on the southwest side. It is slightly closer by distance, easier to shop in, and is a more open design.

Go I-45 North and I believe the exit is West Road. You'll need to make a U-turn under the freeway and it'll be right there off of the feeder road.

you got off of 45 to soon, you needed to follow 45 north about 8 more miles exit west road take the u-turn and the Fry's in on the right side of the inbound access road.

I have to write a spanish recipe.. Good recipe with easy directions?
I'd like a dessert.
I was looking at spanish recipes on google but couldn't find anything that looked easy enough.

Pastel de Tres Leches, or cake of three milks. Bake a cake, then soak it in the milk mixture. Very delicious. Use whatever your favorite cake mix is :)

Mash the garlic with a fork into a coarse paste. Pour in remaining chicken stock, increase heat to medium-high, and bring to a boil. As with any rice cooked ahead, a bit of extra liquid, such as broth, should be added to the bottom of the pot when reheating, to avoid sticking or drying out. I used ground beef to make the picadillo, but ground pork or turkey could also be used. The addition of the beaten eggs is optional, but helps to "set" the casserole.

I want to make a countdown calender for Christmas but I can't find directions to make one on google anywhere. I want to make it look nice not just drawn on paper...but it can be quite and a little cheesy with elves and Santa. But with baby Jesus too! You take a decent sized stuffed animal, I have seen them done on snowmen. Then, you sew a little pocket on for each day, 1-25 in order. Then, attach a little wooden snowflake to a string, and attach the string to the snowman somewhere. Is the Google street view car a black Prius with camera modules mounted on a roof rack?
A week or so ago I rode my bike past a rather unusual black Prius cruising through my neighborhood. The car had a roof rack with a few identical plastic-looking modules on it, each pointed in a different direction (front, up, sides). Each (camera?) module was mostly white plastic perhaps 8" x 8" x 12", with one side of dark shiny plastic that could very well have been covering the camera lens. It was definitely making circles around my neighborhood, as I saw it 2-3 times over the course of two days. Could this be the google maps street view car? I've looked on line for pictures of the street view car and what I've found don't look like the car I saw, but I don't know what else it could have been. The problem is actually with IE7 and it automatically printing using the "shrink to fit" option when printing.

How do I delete saved searches in Google Maps?
A few times when logged into my Google account, I would go to Google Maps and search addresses to obtain driving directions. Primarily, garage sales in my city.
Now, whenever I do a new search with directions, Google retains the previous searches. How do I delete these?
I already have my settings to not store web searches and supposedly map searches... but I cannot locate a place to purge these.
Where do I clear them out?
By the way, this is not a 'clear your cookies' question since I am logged into my Google account.

Should I trust google maps before mapquest?
I am trying to get directions from Ohio to Kansas and I am getting two different ways to take the same route between google maps and mapquest. Both are making it seem a lot harder than it should be to follow I-70 West to 35 South from Kansas City to Wichita... what is going on here?Should I trust google maps before mapquest?
I find it easier with an Atlas. or print out a road map for Ohio, Indiana, Illinois and Kansas. Map Quest or Google maps are both good. High light your route, with a highlighter.
Make your choice for a toll way or toll free highway. Follow road signs carefully. If you get on a wrong ramp stay on it and get off at the next exit. Ask for directions at a gas station to get back on your route. Take a break if you are tired. Drive safely study your map, before you take off for the next town.

If you look at the directions on google maps, they offer you THREE alternate routes... I70, I44, AND I35.
Just use the maps as a guide... YOU know that you need to take i70 to i35... YOU decide when and how you want to make the connection and dont let a mapping service do it for you. You may want to go through a specific town, etc.

they have different algorithms for trips like that. Check you settings ie avoid highways, avoid tolls, shortest time, shortest distance... but they both do the same thing. Map-quest has been doing it for longer, and is more commercial.
Try Yahoo maps and see if that settles the score

I find it easier with an Atlas. or print out a road map for Ohio, Indiana, Illinois and Kansas. Map Quest or Google maps are both good. High light your route, with a highlighter.
Make your choice for a toll way or toll free highway. Follow road signs carefully. If you get on a wrong ramp stay on it and get off at the next exit. Ask for directions at a gas station to get back on your route. Take a break if you are tired. Drive safely study your map, before you take off for the next town.

If you look at the directions on google maps, they offer you THREE alternate routes... I70, I44, AND I35.
Just use the maps as a guide... YOU know that you need to take i70 to i35... YOU decide when and how you want to make the connection and dont let a mapping service do it for you. You may want to go through a specific town, etc.

they have different algorithms for trips like that. Check you settings ie avoid highways, avoid tolls, shortest time, shortest distance... but they both do the same thing. Map-quest has been doing it for longer, and is more commercial.

Question about traffic on google maps?

We grabbed an atlas and planned the trip as best we could before we left. Some of us would even check out an alternate route, just in case we found out that the first route wasn't the best idea.
You had to buy updated atlases every year, though, because a zone that wasn't under construction when you bought the first atlas might be later. Or a highway that was still being built when you had the first atlas might be finished.
But some people will still use an atlas. When one of my brothers drove an 18-wheeler just a couple of years ago, he had an atlas because he hadn't worked long enough to save up the money for a GPS unit. GPS is more convenient because of the spoken, turn-by-turn directions, sure...but it's enitrely possible to travel without the thing and still reach your destination without any problems.

When planning a long trip some of the oil companies had travel services that would take your planned stops, prepare a route, and send a printed map with a route overlay drawn using a highlighter pen. When I worked on the road in the home service industry (about 2 years ago) I always carried area maps with me. I would mapquest my route at the beginning of the day but commonly had to make an unexpected house call while on the road. Also, I always liked having the maps regardless because there were plenty of times mapquest gave me poor directions.

You're absolutely right ~ we did NOT have the luxury of printing driving directions off the internet or using a GPS device in the "old days" (which, actually, weren't all that long ago).
We bought paper maps from gas stations, or belonged to AAA and requested a "trip map" from them ~ they would send us a map (via Snail Mail) with our route (and possibly alternate routes) highlighted on the map.
Believe it or not, in some ways it was more accurate and easier than what's available now (GPS has sent us some really odd ways at times). But I have to admit, I LOVE this modern age and all its conveniences!!

Under Gadget Settings, What do i enter when it asks for "Data source url"? What should i enter. I am basically trying to find a fancy widget that will allow my customers to enter their address immediately get driving directions to my store.

Everyone does not have computers and they will often misplace the direction if they print them out. If it is on the invite they will take it with them. before they take a plain piece of paper. People have a lot going on so that would be great if you did.

I think its just a nice touch to have them in there just so people know where they are going and don't have to take time out of Their busy schedule to look up directions to Your event. :0)

Driving Directions for Atlantic City to Cape May Court House Area?
I am trying to decide the best and most simplistic route from the Atlantic City Intl Airport to the Hyland Motor Inn (located 38 East Mechanic Street, CMCH NJ O8210). I'm going to Dayton, Ohio from Charlottesville, VA and mapquest and google are giving two different directions. Which way would get me to Dayton faster if I'm planning on travel during the middle of the day?

If you are a triple A member, call them and they will give you directions for free that take into account the amount of construction and delays possible. I called them for my travel from Dayton to Madison, Wisconsin and they gave me a route that was just as quick without going through busy Chicago and I didn't hit any construction delays.
If you aren't a triple A member, your best bet would be I64 to 35. Cities usually aren't so bad during the day, and in some cases, the main interstate actually takes you around them.

So, another opportunity for them to sell drugs to healthy people....dangerous drugs with serious side effects.
And all of those anti-depressants ....half of the people I work with are taking these. You know the anti-depressants that sometimes cause suicidal thoughts. The anti-depressants that those kids at Columbine were taking.
And let's talk about all of the money that they spend on research to develop new drugs. Most of the new drugs are just variations on the old drugs. The reason they need to develop new drugs is because the patents ran out and they don't make as much money on drugs that they don't have patents for.
I'm not saying that they don't have a right to make money like any other industry does, I'm just saying that they are absolutely out of control.

Chemotherapy acts like an atomic bomb that kills ANY cell in the body under mitosis at the time the drug has it's effect. Therefore (with some exceptions), chemo is insanely effective to cancers that multiply very quickly. Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia is very sensitive to the drugs.
However, what laymen people don't get is that chemo isn't the magic wand that treats cancer in early stages, it's properly done surgery. Remove a small tumor before it invades distant organs, you cure the person, easy as that.
New research is being done to create antibody drugs that attack cancer by attaching themselves to cancer antigens that are being discovered everyday. It could be the treatment of the future but because of the biological nature of the drugs, they will be very expensive.
It sounds nice in a utopic world in which drug research can be cheap and magic drugs that are better than previous ones and that the new drug is free, but research takes many years. Just lab animal and the job hour for do this kind of work, researchers aren't saints, they have families too.
New drugs become cheap when the liscense expires at a given amount of time after it's patented. Then, any company can copy the recipe and make their cheap generics. By then a drug company needs to recover the investment (which can lead to a lot of ethical problems regarding authorizing unsafe drugs or shoving the publicity down the throats of doctors hoping they will prescribe it).
Contrary what you think, many doctors don't like drug reps shoving the same drug information they learned in med school every 5 minutes. There's even gags running in med school about how newbie med students see drug reps with awe and amazement and as how a person gains more knowledge and clinical experience as an established doctor, byt the time they're the big gurus of their field, they end up humilliating the drug rep telling them about rare effects of the drug and showing they know more about the drug than what most pharmacists ever do.
I sometimes accept the drug rep goodies if they're interesting and accept the publicity for drugs I'm not familiar with, but if I see another publicity page for ambroxol (which is highly overrated and pointless anyways), I'm going to crash my head against a wall.
Many doctors are opening up to alternative medicine. Acupuncture has proven time again that it's uselful for many diseases. The problem relies in holistic medicine. Since you can't patent a plant, drug companies aren't interested in marketing plant meds unless they can isolate an active ingredient, make it 10,000 times more powerful and market that as a drug.
In fact, many common drugs used today came to be by those means (Enalapril and Digoxin have interesting stories). Doing so isn't necesairly bad. Many plants have toxic effects and isolating an active component isolates what works and avoids the toxic compounds. Using plants that are toxic can be risky because the amount of toxin can vary between different plants of the same species. Isolating highly reduces all of this.
However, since holistic medicine is sadly not taught in med school, doctors don't know much about it. Mexico is a bit different because so many people take holistic medicine along with their regular meds, you ends up picking things up.

New research is being done to create antibody drugs that attack cancer by attaching themselves to cancer antigens that are being discovered everyday. It could be the treatment of the future but because of the biological nature of the drugs, they will be very expensive.
It sounds nice in a utopic world in which drug research can be cheap and magic drugs that are better than previous ones and that the new drug is free, but research takes many years. Just lab animal and the job hour for do this kind of work, researchers aren't saints, they have families too.
New drugs become cheap when the liscense expires at a given amount of time after it's patented. Then, any company can copy the recipe and make their cheap generics. By then a drug company needs to recover the investment (which can lead to a lot of ethical problems regarding authorizing unsafe drugs or shoving the publicity down the throats of doctors hoping they will prescribe it).
Contrary what you think, many doctors don't like drug reps shoving the same drug information they learned in med school every 5 minutes. There's even gags running in med school about how newbie med students see drug reps with awe and amazement and as how a person gains more knowledge and clinical experience as an established doctor, byt the time they're the big gurus of their field, they end up humilliating the drug rep telling them about rare effects of the drug and showing they know more about the drug than what most pharmacists ever do.
I sometimes accept the drug rep goodies if they're interesting and accept the publicity for drugs I'm not familiar with, but if I see another publicity page for ambroxol (which is highly overrated and pointless anyways), I'm going to crash my head against a wall.
Many doctors are opening up to alternative medicine. Acupuncture has proven time again that it's uselful for many diseases. The problem relies in holistic medicine. Since you can't patent a plant, drug companies aren't interested in marketing plant meds unless they can isolate an active ingredient, make it 10,000 times more powerful and market that as a drug.
In fact, many common drugs used today came to be by those means (Enalapril and Digoxin have interesting stories). Doing so isn't necesairly bad. Many plants have toxic effects and isolating an active component isolates what works and avoids the toxic compounds. Using plants that are toxic can be risky because the amount of toxin can vary between different plants of the same species. Isolating highly reduces all of this.
However, since holistic medicine is sadly not taught in med school, doctors don't know much about it. Mexico is a bit different because so many people take holistic medicine along with their regular meds, you ends up picking things up.
