Is there a way to control google map direction draggin?
Basically when i try to drag the path it gets very messed up! Sections of it are correct but other sections are just a path going round it self. I am wandering if i can delete portion of the path calculated by google.Is there a way to control google map direction draggin?

I do housekeeping and odd jobs to get buy financially. I made a little over $500 last yeat. I know i have to file a Sched. C. Can I count my miles to and from the jobs? Can I use a google printout showing miles to the site from my house? I only get one job in a day and it's what I do to help pay my bills. I couldn't have gotten bye without it. Try Yahoo maps. I used to use mapquest, but it is not always correct. Yahoo maps are easy to read, and you can see your destination before you go. Figure on traffic if it's on a major highway during commute time, and weather conditions like snow or fog if you have to choose which way to go.
It would be a lot easier if you used the map I gave you and when you get to the airport just show your ticket to the person behind the desk.

Google maps is similar to Mapquest in that they are not 100% correct. When I was a directory assistance operator for cellular calls (2000-2003), certain streets or locations where not mentioned; and when I was a delivery driver (2004-2008), I was given directions to the Compton School District but it mentioned driving through some side streets (where the gangbangers where), so it's not 100% true all of the time. How reliable are the Chicago CTA travel times on Google Maps?
I was wondering if the travel times are accurate when I'm looking for directions in Chicago using Google. I've heard the times are kind of inflated and the time spent on the El is actually shorter than what it says. Anyone familiar with Chicago transit to be able to verify this? There is no real set schedule to the buses or trains. However, the times on www.transitchicago.com are relatively accurate most of the time regarding how long a trip takes.
However--about 1/3 of the time your train will become stuck on the track for short periods of time. So, there's no way to ever know for sure.

2 cups bite-size cheese crackers
2 cups bite-size pretzel twists
1 cup salted peanuts
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 tablespoons water
1 package (1.25 oz) Old El Paso庐 taco seasoning mix
In large microwavable bowl, mix cereals, crackers, pretzels and peanuts.
In small bowl, stir together oil, water and taco seasoning mix. Pour over cereal mixture, stirring until evenly coated.
Microwave uncovered on High about 5 minutes, stirring every 2 minutes, until mixture begins to brown. Spread on waxed paper or foil to cool. Store in airtight container.
Oven Directions: Heat oven to 250掳F. In ungreased large roasting pan, mix cereals, crackers, pretzels and peanuts. In small bowl, stir together oil, water and taco seasoning mix. Pour over cereal mixture, stirring until evenly coated. Bake uncovered 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. Spread on waxed paper or foil to cool, about 15 minutes. Store in airtight container.

In microwavable measuring cup, microwave butter uncovered on High about 40 seconds or until melted. Stir in garlic powder, soy sauce and chow mein seasoning with wire whisk until well mixed. Pour over cereal mixture, stirring until evenly coated. Microwave on High about 5 minutes, stirring every 2 minutes, until mixture looks dry and crisp. Spread on paper towels to cool. Place in serving bowl; stir in wasabi-coated peas. Store in airtight container.

1 cup butter pretzel braids
Directions:
1. In small bowl, add seasoned salt and worcestershire sauce to melted butter. Mix well.
2. Pour chex cereal, mixed nuts and butter braids into large zip-lock plastic zipper bags.
3. Pour butter mixture over cereal mixture inside zip-lock zipper bag, seal top of bag securely.
4. Shake bag until all pieces are evenly coated.
5. Pour contents of bag into large microwave safe bowl. Microwave on high for 5 to 6 minutes, stirring every 2 minutes, spread on absorbent paper to cool.

When I Google local businesses, a Google Map comes up right away for most. I'd like the same for my own business. Does anyone know what I need to do to make that happen? so i was sitting in my trailer the other day and i thunk to myself dam would it be nice to be like one of them british wizard folk. i found a stick in my backyard i can use for a wand and tried to get an owl but it turns out the only way i can get one as a pet is to shoot it wit pa's 12 guage. dont matter much tho i cant seem to find hogwarts on the google maps. no sense in hitchin' if i dont have directions yall know what i mean. cant find hogsmeade either.Why cant i find directions to hogwarts on google maps?
You can't find those on a map because they use cloaking magic to hid them from muggles like you. You have to receive a letter from Hogwarts inviting you to the school to be able to go. If you didn't get your letter before turning 11 or shortly after, you can't go. Sorry.

If the sidebar on the left is not there, or not visible hold down Ctrl+Alt+B all at the same time. The sidebar will appear and near the top it will say 'Search'. Under that there are three tabs. 'Fly to' 'Find Businesses' and 'Directions'. Click on directions and put in the two addresses.
If, for what ever reason this doesn't work and for more options, like whether you are going by car or walking, go onto google maps.

I've tried several, but I think I like Google the best. It allows you to click and drag the line to alter the route you take. That's nice because sometimes the program will pick an odd route to get there and you wish you could pick your own.

It is not turn-by-turn, but is still very useful and have many other features like local search that Garmin and TomTom do not. iPhone GPS is especially useful in USA. I would suggest avoiding 93 because that goes through downtown Boston. 95 skirts the outside of Boston and can save both time and frustration. But the traffic on 95 (aka Route 128), can be pretty heavy, and if there is an accident, there could be significant backups. So if you are coming from New Hampshire or Maine, another option to consider is 495. That is a bit longer, but the traffic is lighter and therefore moves more smoothly.
To quote a line from Simon and Garfunkel's "Mrs. Robinson" (film: "The Graduate"). "Laugh about it, shout about it, when you've got to choose, every way you look at it, you lose".. Have a safe trip.

I need directions to Google?
People keep telling me to go ask Google, I don't know where in the sam hell Google lives! Back in my day we didn't have to go to some mystical person called Google. If we couldn't figure out something then tough noodles. And don't get me started on the people who talked during school! Ok. i have an old 74 chevy whos gas gauge don't work. until i do i need to have a way to see how far distances are. i ran out of gas in one spot and put two gallons in (with small gas can at that spot) and i know exactly where i drove so i would know how far i went on two gallons. so then i can plan where i go when to get gas. but i have done the directions on google earth and remember being able to change the routes but i can't. i don't need to use google earth maybe other online resources. i just want to know a directions type deal that will give me distance allowing me to change the route myself.Google earth directions or maps?

live maps is a good one. I would personally recommend microsoft Streets and Trips 2008 (a offline program). It is about $40. It gives you more options than any online planning site. for about $100, if you have a laptop, you can buy a gps reciver with the software. I have it. you be better off downloading google earth, that way you can place as many markers as you like and take out any places you dont want to see. using the google map in gen i dnt think you can place markers as such but just save the places to your computor even then ule av to sign up to google whereas with google earth you dont.

Prior to getting a GPS in the car I had to rely pretty heavily on the mapping services for directions. Although I found that both systems had areas they were good or bad at (geographically speaking), it seemed like Google was better more often. They may change by region though.
I also personally found it helpful that if you had an account on Google -- didn't have to be related to the mapping function) -- it would remember prior addresses you had keyed into the system without any specific user action required. You didn't need to label the address or assign other naming to it. It worked more like the "in line autocomplete" does with the browser address bar.
Last, I liked the print feature of the Google maps. Less cluttered and don't recall advertising on the printout.

In fact, the Avoid Toll feature in Google Maps is not perfect; for some reason, it seems to think that it costs motorists nothing to take the Outerbridge Crossing from NJ to Staten Island.
So, if you want to be on the safe side, you have to use a small bit of independent verification before you use directions from either website. These days, I actually use MapQuest, Google Maps and Expedia for directions. Expedia is actually underrated, since it has a good sense of shortcuts and tends to have updated reports of construction delays.

I'm also having similar problems nowadays. Try changing the city or street address by adding or removing the hyphens (-). That helped for my cause.

Bring the image up on the screen, then on your keyboard somewhere above the arrows, there should be a button that says Print Scrn
Push that, then open up a paint document and push paste.
Then you can trim it and whatever.

I also have used Adobe Acrobat to 'print' the image to a PDF file, then I selected and copied the bit that I wanted. But for that you have to have the full version of Acrobat.

When I ask Google Earth for directions from Appletown to Bananaburg, I don't like the directions it gives me. If I'm understanding your question correctly, point C makes no difference at all. Just give Google the information of "from this point to that point". Hope this helps

AAA has great directions which have all the updated construction delays you might come across and weather hazards such as dense fog and the like.
